Another instalment of my "craziness released" series of journal entries:
I especially like this hobby of mine because it breaks gender stereotypes. I have a collection hobby. Now, if I fit into gender stereotypes, I could probably collect comic books or possibly Maxim magazines or something of that sort. Instead, I somehow ended up becoming fascinated with all sorts of cute, cuddly plush animals, so I collect those. This all started a few years ago when a friend of mine bought me a jellyfish plush as a birthday gift (I had been displaying a lot of interest in jellyfish that year). I think it brought back memories of the stuffed animals I used to have when I was very young. As I think most people do when passing through early teenage years, I grew out of them and gave them away to someone younger. It was around this time a few years ago that I was going through my post-teenage self-discovery phase, so I was in just the right set of mind to completely disregard social norms and have as many stuffed animals as I wanted. Over the years I've picked up one at a time here and there, but more recently, my interest has grown considerably to the point where I'll by several in one month, and even seek out particularly nice ones on-line.
Since I like my photo gallery so much, I'm posting pictures in a plush gallery. By now, my room-mates have gotten used to my collection, and even pose them in interesting ways when they're out of my room. Naturally, sometimes it's necessary to pose them in suggestive ways for a laugh. But yesterday, I decided to take things to the extreme, as I tend to do.
